the magic of nature: nature & fashion

“Strength is in the quiet stillness of simplicity. Nature inspires the senses, painting a display of art that forms lines and symmetry through the rules of the universe. Remain within the light and breathe in the modernity of Pändabär.” - Timeless Futurism

 Introduction

Fashion has long drawn inspiration from nature as have other art disciplines. In this blog post, we'll explore the ways in which nature inspires what we wear and elevates everyday life. Whether you're an artist, a nature lover, a fashionista or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of the world around you, we hope you'll find something here to inspire you.

Nature as a Source of Inspiration

From the vibrant colors of a sunset to the intricate patterns of a leaf, nature offers endless beauty and wonder. Some of the world's most famous artists, including Vincent van Gogh, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Claude Monet, drew inspiration from the natural world. Fashion design draws on creations from all around us. At Pändabär we love nature and one of its most prestigious designs, the human being.

One of the most fascinating parts of the environment is the presence of black and white. Black and white are not actually colors but light and the absence of light. It is a wonderful discovery to see a beautiful striped animal like the zebra across the lands of Africa. This animal has inspired the first ever pieces of fashion with its pelts which are now replicated with prints. There is something magical about the purest representations of black and white. It is as old as time and the beginning of creation both light and dark.

 Replicated Shapes

In nature you can see the shapes and colors replicated in outfits across all boutiques and fashion houses. We are instinctively drawn to our environment where some believe it is because we are made up of all the same things that surround us. But nature isn't just a pretty picture – it can also offer deeper inspiration. The natural world is full of patterns, rhythms, and cycles, all of which can be reflected in fashion. For example, the fractal patterns of a fern can be mirrored in the swirls and curves of lacey details on a skirt.

The Magic of Nature in Everyday Life

While nature is a constant source of inspiration, taking time to sit in the stillness of nature can play a role in the feelings we have for ourselves. Research has shown that spending time in nature can have a positive impact on our mental and physical health. It can reduce stress, improve mood, and even boost our immune systems. By bringing nature into our homes and workplaces, we can create a more peaceful, uplifting environment that supports our well-being. Whether it's taking a walk in the park, watching a sunset, or simply admiring the beauty of a flower, nature has the power to uplift our spirits and soothe our souls.

Our Goals

At Pändabär we want to provide inspirational clothing that touches on the different parts of humanity. The past, present, future and everything in between. Like humanity, we tie different categories and ideas together through the black and white aesthetic. There is a strength that can be derived from both the presence of color and the absence of it.

What draws us to the light and dark is our nature and with it is that quietness within that is balance. As seen in the yin and yang symbol, these two forces in balance gives a glimpse into what is like to be a human. Clarity is often found when we balance the parts of ourselves that are loosely represented in light and dark forms.

Black and white: More than Good and Evil

Life is more than ones and zeros. That is what makes us different than machines. The beauty of black and white side by side is the contrast between the two, which naturally draws your attention. These shades can’t be reduced to an arbitrary label of good and evil. If we don’t experience bad it is hard to enjoy the concept of good. There is beauty in that idea. And that is why we see black and white as a symbol of self-discovery, balance stillness and strength which are themes we see over and over again in the beauty of nature.

 Conclusion

Nature has long been a source of inspiration for artists, but its magic isn't limited to the artistic world around us. By bringing nature into our everyday lives, we can experience true life and the magic it creates. We can discover our true selves by experiencing the winds, grass, or clouds. These are all part of a balance that keeps us alive whether we prefer not to indulge in the smelling of a flower due to allergy season, they still have a part to play in the balance of nature.
